  1. Mark seat post position in the seat post tube.
  2. Remove seat post (with seat attached) from seat post tube.
  3. Loosen bolt on carrier clamp.
  4. Slide seat post into clamp opening in seat post rack. Add shim(s) if necessary to achieve a snug fit. At least one shim should be used to secure the fit.
  5. Slide the seat post into the seat post tube to original position and secure.
  6. To minimize stress, place the rack as low as possible on your seat post.
  7. Tighten the allen bolt on the carrier clamp.
  8. Check to see that the rack is clamped tight by trying to swing the rack side to side. Tighten the allen bolt until you can no longer move the rack side to side. You may need to add another shim to achieve a snug fit.
Safety Information:
  • Do not carry loads over 10 lbs. The rack with a load may lessen the stability and alter the riding characteristics of the bicycle, particularly regarding steering and braking. Practice riding with rods and load.
  • Never sit or ride on this rack.
  • To minimize stress, place the rack as low as possible on your seat post.
  • Be certain attachments do not interfere with the safe operation of the bicycle.
  • Be aware of overhead objects and height of fishing poles when carrying them in the rack.
